did u know that reverse breakdown voltage happens at reverse bias?

it has the most minimum current. in fact its sooo tiny that it is negligible or equals to 0

any diodes running in this condition (reverse breakdown) are actually functioning in the reverse breakdown region in the V-I characteristic of a p-n junction diode.

If a diode keeps operating in that region, it might cause it to overheat and ultimately melt on your circuit board and will emit foul smell.

Handle with care
