: : sigh : :

today when i got a msg from my dad saying that my grandma was in coma, i froze for a moment. i didnt know wat to do then. i rushed to the hospital. all my uncles n aunties was there. i saw my granny lying there motionless. her hands was cold. both her arms were swollen. i wasnt really close with my granny due to languange barrier. but that that time deep down inside i was sad. 101 things are in my head now. granny, assignmnets, exams and her. i duno wat to do. in times like this i really hope that there is someone with me. someone to lean on, to cry to, to give a hug. but i guess i havent found that person yet.

Around three years back, I encountered the same thing too...

I remembered that night the news hit my family when we were going for a trip to Thailand. My grandma felled off the stairs and went unconscious, and was sent to the ICU in a hospital in Malacca. My family immediately cancelled the trip and went down to Malacca the next day.

It took her a couple of days before she finally woke, but the accident costed her a broken arm and brain injuries - and resulting in her losing her short-term memory. Imagine the level of damage where she couldn't even recognize me at all !

But the accident didn't affect her only - my dad's family was in a crisis. As there were conflicts and misunderstandings that occured earlier in the family before the accident, the accident added even more tension among their relations.

I was depressed and angry at that time - Grandma's in danger, and yet some of the family members who only thought for themselves (because they benefit from Grandma if she's alive, anyway) they tried even more ways to make the situation worse so they could benefit even more from the aftermath of the accident. And seriously, I am ashamed I had relatives who had such kind of negative attitude and mindset, all because of their greed. But there's nothing the rest of us can do - they were much closer to Grandma, and Grandma has a certain preference towards those ungrateful people.

Well, I didn't tell you this to compare my situation with yours, but instead I've something else to tell you - for right now, you and your family must remain unite, as well as those of your uncles and aunts.
